From the Outside In
Brisbane artist and songwriter Francesca de Valence was honoured with a Los Angeles Music Award for International Songwriter of the Year in 2008. Francesca performed her winning song “My Somebody To Love” from her debut EP From The Outside In at the awards held at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Hollywood and followed this performance with her own show at the revered acoustic venue Genghis Cohen in Hollywood.
Francesca’s EP tour to Los Angeles followed a successful Australian East Coast EP release tour in late October and a show at the prestigious Club JJ’s in Hong Kong officially ended the tour.
Since the May 2008 release of From The Outside In, which was recorded and produced in Brisbane, Francesca has also received AC Song Of The Year in the 2008 Independent Singer Songwriter Awards, Runner Up in the ‘We Are Listening’ 2008 Singer/Songwriter Awards and was Semi-Finalist in the 2008 UK Songwriting Contest.
