Things That We Had Said
Making ‘Things That We Had Said’ was immensely satisfying for me musically and creatively. Working with Paul McKercher was a huge part of that, as were the songs themselves – they are so much more honest, grown-up and developed than I’ve ever written before. And seeing them ‘graduate’ to this EP was a proud moment for me. I am still really enjoying listening to the finished product.

“Things That We Had Said” officially launched in September 2013 as part of the Brisbane Fringe Festival in collaboration with painter Brett Moffatt, whose illustrations feature as the EP’s enigmatic cover art. The event entitled “To Your Art’s Desire”, features on Francesca’s blog here.
Beautiful Night, the first single from the EP, won an Australian Songwriting Award at the National Songwriting Awards in Sydney in December 2013. Read my blog from the awards night here.
